Lukashenko: Belarus is committed to a peaceful dialogue with all countries

MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) – Belarus is committed to a peaceful dialogue with all countries, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in his video address to the participants of the plenary session of the 9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia that is underway in Grodno, BelTA has learned.

“The hospitable city of Grodno is hosting such a significant event for the first time. The delegations are meeting at the junction of two cultural civilizations - East and West. We see this as symbolic, because we are committed to a peaceful dialogue with all countries in spite of everything. And while our Western neighbors are bringing NATO troops to our border, we are putting forward absolutely constructive initiatives,” the Belarusian leader said.

The plenary session “The role of interregional cooperation in deepening the Union State integration processes” brought together heads of ministries and government agencies, enterprises and organizations, representatives of Belarusian and Russian business communities. A number of intergovernmental and interregional cooperation agreements and other documents are signed within the framework of the forum. The forum kicked off in Grodno on 30 June.
