Lithuanian politician shares his thoughts about self-exiled Belarusian opposition

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – Former Lithuanian presidential candidate Eduardas Vaitkus commented on the calls of the fugitive opposition to impose sanctions against Belarus during a press conference in BelTA’s press center in Minsk on 13 May.

“I spoke only with one person from your [self-exiled] opposition. I cannot generalize anything, but from my worldview and my moral compass I can say that one should live in one's own country and try to change it from inside,”  Eduardas Vaitkus said.

“You cannot do it by force,” he noted.
