Kobyakov urges maximum assistance to business with creating more jobs

GRODNO, 29 July (BelTA) - Authorities and entrepreneurs in Belarus must build the relationship of maximum assistance to each other with a view to creating more jobs, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he talked to reporters during his working trip to Grodno Oblast, BelTA has learned.

“The goal to create jobs was set by the head of state and we see it confidently met across the country. But the point here is not even in numbers or in accounting, but about the substance of the matter. The main thing is to create a climate in the country so that the authorities and business provide each other maximum assistance,” the Prime Minter noted. The ultimate goal is to provide an opportunity for people to exercise their constitutional right to work.

“The work on creating new jobs is not confined solely to small and medium-sized enterprises. This also applies to the functioning enterprises. Labor force can be made redundant not only because of the shrinking market but also due to modernization, reconstruction, improvement of existing manufactures.

People should not oppose these changes. This is why we need to provide them with an opportunity to work in other jobs. This is the universal task,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

The Belarusian head of government visited LogAl-energo that is building a solar power plant to get acquainted with the progress in terms of job creation in small and medium-sized businesses in Shchuchin District. He also visited Grodno Tobacco Factory Neman to review the measures to improve the production efficiency and reduce production costs by modernizing the tobacco and cigarette shops.
