Karic: Belarus’ investment climate is attractive to foreign businesses

MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Belarus is a country with an attractive investment climate, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Belgrade Dragomir Karic said in a news program on the Belarus 1 TV channel on 22 June, BelTA has learned.

Dragomir Karic noted that Belarus’ leadership has chosen the right policy to enhance the investment appeal of the country. “Chinese, Serbian, Iranian, Latvian and Polish businessmen are working in Belarus. Strong cooperation ties have been developed with Russia,” the diplomat said. He added that Belarus has become a bridge important for both the East and the West.

For his part, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko stressed the need to attract investments for the development of the industrial sector in Belarus. In his words, it is necessary to continuously upgrade the lineup of products and improve the technological processes. This will help design and produce goods competitive in terms of both quality and price. “We will not manage to do this without investments,” Vladimir Semashko emphasized.
