Kadyrov to Lukashenko: Your visit to Chechnya would be a big event for us

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov said that Chechnya is interested in developing cooperation with Belarus and added that people living in the Caucasian region respect the Belarusian leader very much. He made the statement at the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 25 September, BelTA informs.

“I can say that I have been dreaming of a personal meeting with you because, as you have just said, for all these years we have felt and still feel your support. You are respected very much in the Caucasus, people like your univocal position. You are building the state, protecting the interests of your people at the highest level. We are interested in your country. And our countries have been connected by friendly brotherly relations for a long time,” Ramzan Kadyrov said.

“When people of all ages in the republic found out that was going to Belarus they asked me to convey the best greetings to the president. They said that they felt your support, listened to all your speeches. Therefore, I convey the best greetings from young and old people of Chechnya to you. They like and respect you very much,” Ramzan Kadyrov said.

He also stressed that the Chechen Republic is the safest region in Russia, it has fully eradicated terrorism. “This is an absolutely peaceful territory welcoming hundreds of thousands of tourists from America, China, Japan. Your visit to Chechnya would be a big event for us,” he stressed.

Our government is working, we have understanding. I am convinced that the today’s meeting will help develop our relations in the economic, industrial, and agricultural dimensions,” the head of the Chechen Republic said.

In his words, the Chechen Republic has been fully restored in the past years. Its economy is been built taking into account the potential of the entire North Caucasus region with multi-million population. “As you have said, the implementation of a pilot project for the entire North Caucasus in Chechnya would be beneficial for your enterprises and for us,” Ramzan Kadyrov is convinced.
