Junior Eurovision seen as good experience for Belarus, great opportunity for young singers

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a good experience for Belarus and a great opportunity for young singers, head of Belteleradiocompany Ivan Eismont told the media, BelTA has learned.

“When we got down to the preparations, we decided that we should organize it to the highest standards. Our goal is to entertain the European audiences and, of course, move forward, with the new experience under our belt,” Ivan Eismont said.

According to him, three days are left before the contest and there is some excitement in the air. “The most important thing for us now is to broadcast the final show live, literally every moment of it. All services are duplicated, so I am sure everything will be fine. The stage, sound, and light of Minsk Arena were highly praised by Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest Jon Ola Sand, and the delegations. It is good that the Belarusian capital has Minsk Arena, a large indoor center which can host the event. The rest is a matter of technology,” the head of Belteleradiocompany said.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Minsk Arena on 25 November. Daniel Yastremski will perform eighth. He will sing the song “Time”.

The Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 channels will broadcast the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. It will also be aired on the official website of Belteleradiocompany at www.tvr.by and on the Eurovision official website at www.junioreurovision.tv.

Besides, all the details about the children's song contest will be available in the newsreels and the Light up! Diaries aired on the Belarus 1 at 20.55 on weekdays, and at 17.35 on Sundays.

The organizer and coordinator of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is the Belteleradiocompany as the country’s only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
