MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Guminsky met with Speakers of the Parliaments of the Central and Eastern European countries in Warsaw, Poland and called for uniting efforts in the region for a prompt response to geographical imbalances in social and economic development and a surge of terrorism, BelTA learnt from the press service of the House of Representatives.

Viktor Guminsky also spoke at the plenary meetings of the event and voiced the need to unite efforts of the Central and Eastern European countries for an adequate and efficient response to economic, environmental and humanitarian crises, a surge of terrorism and other modern threats. The Vice Speaker expressed confidence in the viability of establishing constructive cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union with a view to developing a common economic and humanitarian space from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

According to the press service, the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives emphasized an increasing role of the national parliaments, inter-parliamentary structures and organizations in establishing and supporting the dialogue on the most sensitive issues of the international agenda.
