MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) - Belarus-Iran cooperation is advancing through concrete actions and tangible results, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov said as he met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on 15 December, BelTA has learned.
“It is very good that progress is made in all areas of cooperation. This progress is marked by concrete actions and tangible results,” Maxim Ryzhenkov said. The minister noted that the current bilateral meeting could lead relations between Minsk and Tehran to even more impressive results.

Maxim Ryzhenkov pointed out that the earlier meeting between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Iranian foreign minister was conducted in a constructive atmosphere and focused on practical matters.
“A number of very interesting, important, and even large-scale initiatives were discussed. We all understand how to proceed in our relations,” the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs said.

Maxim Ryzhenkov added that the foreign ministers of Belarus and Iran have a rather good history of bilateral meetings and exchanging views on various international platforms. “The SCO, BRICS, the Non-Aligned Movement - everywhere, we identify new avenues for cooperation,” he emphasized. “I am very pleased that several months ago in Uganda, at the meeting of ministers [of foreign affairs] of the Non-Aligned Movement, we agreed that you would pay an official visit to Minsk.”
