MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian president’s Annual State of the Nation Address has touched upon virtually every aspect of national life, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Belarus Merike Kokajev told BelTA. The Estonian ambassador attended the event in the Oval Hall on 19 April, BelTA has learned.

“Aleksandr Lukashenko is always very emotional and sincere. He is ready to address every issue that people are concerned about,” the diplomat stressed.

According to Merike Kokajev, it was the third time she attended the Belarusian president’s State of the Nation Address. “The president addresses the Belarusian people and MPs, detailing every important issue for the country, including healthcare, housing and education. These are also the matters of the foreign policy which are very important. Aleksandr Lukashenko also emphasized the current difficult period in international relations, numerous crisis situations and the need to do everything possible to maintain peace,” the diplomat said.

The ambassador added that Belarus is a peaceful country and that stability and peace are high on its international agenda.
