Diplomat: Belarus and India stand shoulder to shoulder in today’s difficult time

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarus and India stand shoulder to shoulder in today’s difficult time and continue to build interstate relations as reliable and time-tested partners, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik said as he spoke at a festive event to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Belarus on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

“The processes taking place in the world pose serious challenges for our countries. They have prompted us to take a fresh look at our cooperation, primarily in the field of economy, trade and logistics. In these difficult times, Belarus and India stand shoulder to shoulder and continue to build interstate relations as reliable and time-tested partners,” the diplomat said.

“The supply of coronavirus drugs to Belarus is a good example of how our Indian friends help Belarus,” Sergei Aleinik said.

The first deputy foreign minister believes that over 30 years of successful joint work the two countries have built a solid foundation for bilateral relations, which serves as a powerful springboard for building new ties and cementing Belarus-India friendship for many years to come.
