Cui Qiming: Belarus, China committed to strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership

VITEBSK, 23 August (BelTA) - Belarus and China are firmly forging the comprehensive strategic partnership, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming said when speaking at a ceremony to start the social housing project with the use of a Chinese grant, BelTA has learned.

The diplomat stressed that he was happy to attend the event which is important for the two states. The Ambassador noted that the peoples of China and Belarus are bound by sincere friendship. “During the 24 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our cooperation has been developing dynamically and steadily. Now we are firmly following the course defined by our national leaders. Namely, it is the deepening of the relationship of all-round strategic partnership. It is important that the relations are based on the principles of mutual respect, mutual benefit and equality. We learn from each other, help and support each other. Today's event is proof of sincere, kind-hearted, friendly feelings of the Chinese people to Belarusians. This assistance is small but sincere,” Ambassador Cui Qiming said.

Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Cui Qiming and Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Belous left their autographs on the first block in the foundation of the new house. The 10-storied residential building for 120 apartments will be constructed in the Bilevo 3 neighborhood. The building is slated for commissioning in February 2017.
