China keen on full partnership with Belarus

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – China is interested in developing all-round cooperation with Belarus, Chairman of the Council for promoting South-South Cooperation (CPSSC) Lu Xinhua told BelTA.

In his words, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping maintain close friendly relations, which is a good basis for the development of comprehensive relations between Belarus and China.

According to the chairman of the council, Belarus is an important partner for China and maintained good friendly relations with China at a time when China was not such an economically powerful country. Lu Xinhua is convinced that the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is an important component of bilateral cooperation. It has already become a model of cooperation between Belarus and China. The chairman stressed that political and economic stability in Belarus is an attractive factor for Chinese business.

Lu Xinhua is the former deputy foreign minister of China. The Council also includes more than 90 ambassadors who have completed their diplomatic mission, but continue to contribute to the development of cooperation with foreign states. Lu Xinhua is confident that the South-South platform is a serious basis for further strengthening of the Belarusian-Chinese economic cooperation.
