China committed to strategy of mutually beneficial cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – China stays committed to an open strategy of mutually beneficial cooperation with Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Cui Qiming said as he spoke at a meeting of the Young Diplomat youth club in the House of Friendship on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

The meeting highlighted the role of diplomacy in strengthening friendship between the peoples of China and Belarus. The Ambassador talked about the main foreign political priorities of China and reminded those present at the meeting that Chinese President Xi Jinping had proposed a number of new concepts and ideas related to the development prospects for the country and the region.

According to the diplomat, China provides its response to new challenges the international community faces. China builds up its relations with other states based on mutual respect and benefit, stays committed to an independent peaceful foreign policy and steadily follows the chosen path of development.

“Every state and people should be respected, all countries, be them weak or strong, rich or poor, should be equal. Everyone should respect the development path of other countries and do not interfere with the internal affairs of each other,” stressed the diplomat. The Ambassador believes that states and peoples should work together in addressing various problems and together enjoy the security guarantees.

Attending the meeting were Minsk students learning Chinese, representatives of the Belarus-China Friendship Society, members of the Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs and representatives of the Chinese embassy.
