Cai Qi praises development of China-Belarus relations

BEIJING, 2 September (BelTA) – Relations between China and Belarus have entered a period of the best development in their history. Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Secretariat and Director of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made the statement at a meeting with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Beijing, BelTA has learned.

Cai Qi said: “Chinese-Belarusian relations of all-weather all-round strategic partnership under the strategic guidance of you and Xi Jinping continue developing rapidly. And one can say that our relations have entered the period of the best development in their history.”

The official remarked that a substantial meeting of the leaders of Belarus and China had taken place the other day. During the meeting a number of agreements were reached and new plans for further advancement of Chinese-Belarusian relations were sketched out.

Cai Qi assured the Chinese side is ready to jointly realize all the reached agreements, promote multifaceted cooperation, and fill the bilateral relations with new content. He also thanked Aleksandr Lukashenko for accepting the invitation to attend festivities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War Two in Beijing on 3 September.
