Burya: Belarus and China have points of contact for moving forward

BEIJING, 2 September (BelTA) – Belarus and China have points of contact for advancing cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China Viktor Burya told journalists on 2 September, BelTA has learned.

The Ambassador said that Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met with China President Xi Jinping and with First Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli of China on 2 September. The parties talked over the issues of economic cooperation. “The sides once again discussed the areas of economy that are complementary and represent mutual interest, which means that Belarus and China have points of contact for advancing the bilateral cooperation. The China President stressed that China and Belarus will always be complementary. The People's Republic of China is ready to assist Belarus in rehabilitating and boosting its economy,” the diplomat noted.

Viktor Burya also stressed that the China-Belarus Industrial Park remains the main project of the bilateral cooperation not so much because of its large scale, bur rather because of the concrete projects that will be implemented there.
