Bulgaria president: Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk shapes friendship and trust between nations

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – The international art festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk shapes friendship and trust between nations. The statement is part of the welcome address sent by Bulgaria President Rosen Plevneliev to guests and participants of the 25th international art festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk. The welcome address has been published by the website of the Embassy of Belarus in Bulgaria, BelTA has learned.

The welcome address reads: “Today when a record high number of crises happens in the world, it is necessary to use the main values nurtured by culture as a bridge that the hope for a peaceful coexistence on our beautiful planet will walk along. Regardless of how unique a crisis may look, it can be overcome via cultural initiatives that shape friendship and trust between different nations.”

The Bulgarian President noted that for the twenty-fifth time the beautiful city of Vitebsk will welcome guests from various parts of the planet. They will convene to present their traditions, customs, songs and dances, united in the knowledge they will meet a lot of friends and will enjoy a warm welcome on the part of Vitebsk residents.

Rosen Plevneliev also said he is confident that the festival days will present a lot of beautiful moments and genuine pleasure from multiple cultural events to Vitebsk guests and residents.
