MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – In conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic Belarusian medics have done great and continue selflessly doing their duty. Belarusian Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik made the statement as part of his congratulation to Belarusian healthcare workers on the occasion of Medical Workers Day, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Karanik stressed: “The spread of the coronavirus infection has changed a lot in our lives. We had to remodel the operation of all the institutions, change the conventional routines. Only one thing remained unchanged – the constant readiness of medical workers of the healthcare system to help people. In this special period of time we have once again reaffirmed the dedication to our high calling and continue selflessly doing our duty.”

The minister thanked all the healthcare workers without an exception for not quitting amid the pandemic, for continuing helping people despite all the hardships and risks to their health. “With sorrow in our hearts we should remember the colleagues we've lost so far this year and offer genuine condolence and support to their friends and families. Memory about them will live in our hearts,” he noted.
