“The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission expressed hope that the first parliamentary contacts that took place in March this year will pave the way for continuous and constructive cooperation between the Riksdag and the new composition of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus,” the embassy noted.

Dmitry Mironchik informed the Swedish MPs about the recent developments in Belarus and the situation in the region, and about the progress in bilateral relations over the past year after full diplomatic contacts between Minsk and Stockholm were restored.

The ambassador emphasized that in 2018 the bilateral trade expanded by over a quarter.
