Belarus’ unwavering international support for Russia pointed out

MOSCOW, 27 December (BelTA) – Russia always supports Belarus in the international scene. Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin made the statement in an interview with BelTA and reporters of mass media of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 27 December.

Grigory Karasin said: “Indeed, sometimes matters emerge, on which we are particularly interested in the support of Belarusian partners and we always get the necessary support. For instance, two years ago Belarus agreed to represent Russia in the joint consultative group on the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty. ”

According to the official, Belarus-Russia cooperation in the United Nations Organization is characterized by the same views or close views on many items on the international agenda. Grigory Karasin thanked the Belarusian government for traditionally supporting Russian priorities in the UN in the area of international information security, road traffic safety, measures for transparency and stronger trust in outer space. Belarus and Russia push for the UN General Assembly resolution against Nazism glorification together.

“We are satisfied with the traditionally friendly and strong relations between our countries during elections in the UN system. We are grateful for Belarus’ unwaveringly favorable responses to requests to support Russian candidacies. We constantly stay in touch with our Belarusian friends. It allows us to agree approaches to topical items on the international agenda and the regional one as fast as possible,” summed up the Russian deputy minister of foreign affairs.
