Belarus to fulfill all IAEA’s proposals after SEED mission

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Belarus is going to fulfill all the proposals of the IAEA after the SEED mission. The statement was made by Energy Minister Vladimir Potupchik at the meeting with the team members of the IAEA’s SEED mission in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.

“I want to emphasize that Belarus pays a lot of attention to the recommendations of the IAEA missions, and we will try to fulfill all the proposals made after the SEED mission this week. This mission is very important for our country. I would like to use this opportunity to once again thank the IAEA experts for the important and huge work as part of the SEED mission,” Potupchik noted. “We also thank Belarusian specialists and our Russian partners.”

“We are going to join efforts with the IAEA to create a safe, environmentally-friendly and efficient industry – the nuclear energy industry which will help promote the development of our country,” the minister stressed.

Belarus hosted a Site and External Events Design (SEED) mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from 16 to 20 January.
