Belarus, Russia gradually approximate laws to ensure equal rights for citizens

MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have been gradually approximating their laws to ensure equal rights for Union State citizens, Valentin Miloshevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the House of Representatives on Healthcare, Physical Education, Family and Youth Policy, told the media on 7 December, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian MP named healthcare among the fields that have seen the best results. He underlined that the two parliaments strive for the same results in labor relations, in particular. “The approximation process in underway in every area,” Valentin Miloshevsky said.

Russia’s Bryansk will host parliamentary hearings on the approximation of Belarus’ and Russia’s laws to ensure equal rights for Union State citizens on 16-17 December. The Belarus-Russia Parliamentary Assembly’s commission on information policy reviewed the draft recommendations at the House of Representatives on 7 December. The commission also discussed drafting the Union State Supreme State Council’s ordinance on the 2018 Union State budget. Taking part in the session were members of the Union State Standing Committee, representatives of relevant ministries and government agencies of Belarus and Russia.
