Belarus rightly expects steady deliveries of Russian oil, natural gas

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Belarus rightly expects a stabilization of approaches of Russian suppliers of oil and natural gas, BelTA learned from Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Lyashenko on 5 February.

The official said that negotiations on deliveries and on setting prices for oil and natural gas will take place at the end of the week. The Belarusian side remains focused primarily on this matter.

The official stressed: “We rightly expect a stabilization of approaches of our suppliers from the Russian Federation.”

BelTA reported earlier that representatives of the Belarusian and Russian governments intended to discuss all the unresolved issues soon, including those relating to energy industry.

On 4 February while on a visit to the Dobrush-based paper mill Geroy Truda Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko stated that he intends to meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 7 February.
