Belarus’ representative at Junior Eurovision aims for unforgettable show

Belarus’ representative at Junior Eurovision aims for unforgettable show

MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Viewers will remember my performance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Belarus’ representative Elizaveta Misnikova told BelTA.

“Choreography is the most important part of the show, because my song is very electrifying, cool even, something teenagers like very much. Some say that my performance reminds them of American singer Billie Eilish. Teenagers recognize the tune and dance to it – that is what we have hoped for,” Elizaveta Misnikova said. “The Junior Eurovision is a significant stage in my musical career. The whole Europe will hear my song Pepelnyi. My main goal is to perform well, so that viewers will remember me, and of course, to win,” she added.

According to Elizaveta Misnikova, not only the act, but also the image of the singer and dancers will be changed in the run-up to the contest. “My new look will combine things that are in fashion among teenagers. We want to stand out thanks to our costumes too. Each member of our team contributed to my performance in the final of the national selection and I think we will come up with something unusual again,” she added.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held in Gliwice, Poland, on 24 November 2019. Belarus has taken part in every edition of the contest since its debut in 2003 and has won the contest twice: in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik performing the song My Vmeste and again in 2007 with Alexey Zhigalkovich performing the entry S Druziyami. Belarus hosted the show for the second time in 2018 and gathered a record high number of participants in the history of the contest. Performers from 20 countries took to the stage of Minsk Arena in 2018.

All rights related to the national selection belong exclusively to the Belarusian Television and Radio Company as the country's only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
