Belarus’ representative at Eurovision 2019 on her strong sides

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – ZENA, Belarus’ representative at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, will try to charm the European audience with her charisma and energy. The singer unveiled her Eurovision strategy as she took part in an online conference on the website of the Belteleradiocompany national broadcaster on 11 March, BelTA has learned.

“I will try to stun European viewers with my charisma, attitude, energy, and a trendy and catchy song. I am convinced that I will be able to make it to the final and perform well. Now the preparation for the show is in full swing,” the singer said.

ZENA noted that she was very nervous during the national selection final. “It is not true that I am not nervous. I am an experienced performer; therefore I know how to play it cool. I was nervous only before the performance. When I was on stage, I was utterly focused on the act. No one is nervous and everything is all right. I was focused on the end result and aspired to win. The most important thing is the right attitude,” the performer noted.

ZENA added that she always feels the support of her team. “My team is like a big family for me,” the singer emphasized.

ZENA is a stage name of Zinaida Kupriyanovich. The girl is 16 years old. She has won many music contests before. By the way, she tried to make the cut for the Junior Eurovision two times. Last year she co-hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk. This year she won the national selection with her song 'Like It'. The 16 year old took first place with 69 points out of 70.

The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, in May. The semifinals will take place on 14 and 16 May, the final on 18 May. Belarus 1 and international satellite Belarus 24 TV channels of Belteleradiocompany will broadcast all the stages of the show live.
