Belarus’ parliament urged to play more significant role in society

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The parliament should play a more significant role in the society, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he made new appointments on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko remarked that Belarus will, probably, host the parliamentary election in September. According to the president, the parliament should play a more significant role in the society because people should see the work of the elected MPs.

The head of state once again asked the heads of local administration bodies to draw special attention to the personnel issue and give responsible posts to reliable people.

“You have a personal task in accordance with the decree, not even one task, but the main objective for you is to support unprofitable enterprises. Therefore, think what you will do there, how you will operate these enterprises,” the president added.
