Belarus-Estonia economic, investment cooperation “most efficient”

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Estonia have been developing the most efficient cooperation in the economic and investment fields, Estonia’s Ambassador to Belarus Merike Kokajev said at a function held on 22 February to mark Estonia’s Independence Day, BelTA has learned.

According to the diplomat, Belarus and Estonia have entered a new age of bilateral relations. In her words, the Belarusian-Estonian ties are developed in all major fields of mutual interest. The two countries have been closely cooperating in culture, science, and education. The trade, economic and investment cooperation is the most efficient. Parlaimentary ties are another strong side of bilateral cooperation.

Merike Kokajev assured that Estonia would continue strengthening cooperation with Belarus in trade, economy and investment, encourage direct contacts between Estonian and Belarusian companies, and support a mutual exchange of delegations through the chambers of commerce.

“Our common goal is to strive for further strengthening of mutual relations,” the ambassador said.
