MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – The decision of the United States Congress is somewhat ridiculous against the backdrop of the election in the United States itself, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of Belarus’ National Assembly Andrei Savinykh said as he commented on the adoption of Belarus Democracy, Human Rights, and Sovereignty Act by the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

“The decision of the Congress demonstrates that the United States continues acting by force of habit, using its usual ways to interfere in domestic affairs of other countries and violating their sovereignty and principles of international law. This looks rather ridiculous, in the light of the news about the election in the United States,” Andrei Savinykh noted.
