Babich: No pending issues after Belarus-Russia talks in Sochi

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – No unresolved issues remain after the talks between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Mikhail Babich told the media before a ceremony to present the credentials to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 25 September, BelTA has learned.

“There have been and will be no unsettled issues. All of them have their solution and it is very constructive and positive. Russians and their Belarusian counterparts will do their best to implement these arrangements,” Mikhail Babich assured.

The diplomat added that the parties will hold an additional meeting in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the CIS summit to finalize some technicalities. “After that, official results will be announced. However, it can already be noted that these are very positive and meaningful results of a rather intensive negotiating process. Our partners, no doubt about it, will be satisfied with them,” the ambassador noted.
