Austrian president highlights importance of Trostenets death camp in European policy of memory

MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – Trostenets is important as a place of European memory, Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen said during a meeting with Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 29 june, BelTA has learned.

“We, in Austria, are very surprised at how this place of memory has dropped out of the European policy of memory. The importance pf this place is very great and cannot be underestimated.
