Andreichenko urges to use all tools to improve dialogue with European colleagues

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – It is essential to use all available tools to improve the dialogue with European colleagues, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said at the session of the Council of the House of Representatives on 31 March, BelTA has learned.

“Our relations with a number of European states and international organizations are improving. The visit of rapporteur of the PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy Andrea Rigoni to our country is a landmark event in these efforts. We need to continue doing our best to improve the dialogue with our European colleagues,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.

Apart from that, Belarusian MPs will continue their work at the platforms of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg. Grodno will host the 48th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in June.

Vladimir Andreichenko also remarked that the visits of parliamentary delegations to Belarus which are expected to take place this year will help promote Belarus’ economic, trade and other interests. For example, the delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Iraq, Georgia are expected to visit Belarus. Belarusian MPs are going to visit Kazakhstan, Laos and other countries.

“But the main thing is that these visits should bring real economic effect,” Vladimir Andreichenko stressed.
