Andreichenko: Falsification of history fraught with irreparable consequences

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – We should make every effort to preserve the historical memory of the heroism of the older generations and the cost of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said during his meeting with participants of the Memory Relay campaign to mark the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, BelTA has learned.

Oblivion and falsification of history lead to irreversible consequences. Those who forget their history will relive it. In this light, it is impossible to overestimate the role of our war veterans. Their stories are a living testimony of that war. They help the younger generations realize the importance of the victory of the Soviet people,” Vladimir Andreichenko noted.
