Andreichenko emphasizes Belarus' warm attitude towards Moldova

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Belarusians have a warm attitude towards Moldova and its people, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with Moldova President Nicolae Timofti, BelTA has learned.

"We have a warm attitude towards your country, your people. We have very close relations. Moldova is our important trading and economic partner," said Vladimir Andreichenko. In 2014 the trade reached almost $420 million, which was a very good result, he noted.

Vladimir Andreichenko "The documents that were signed yesterday are very important. Especially with regard to the issues of the interregional cooperation, industrial cooperation. I think these documents offer very broad prospects for further cooperation. Of course, we, the MPs, will make every effort to ensure that everything that was signed yesterday should be translated into reality,” Vladimir Andreichenko noted.

Vladimir Andreichenko thanked the President of Moldova for the great attention to the development of the inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.

On 24-26 July 2012 the Moldovan parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker Marian Lupu visited Belarus. A cooperation agreement was signed between the National Assembly of Belarus and the Parliament of Moldova. The document provides for the coordination of activities in international organizations and promotion of interregional cooperation.
