Ambassador: South Korea looks forward to more intensive cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) - The Republic of Korea looks forward to more intensive cooperation with Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Belarus Tae Jun You told the media after the ceremony to present the credentials to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

The diplomat noted that the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992 and that the bilateral ties have been friendly in nature. The big factor here is the mutual understanding between the peoples of Belarus and the Republic of Korea, which has been steadily growing. “If there is an understanding of each other, it makes a good basis for building up contacts in all areas,”  Ambassador Tae Jun You said.

During the conversation with the ambassador of the Republic of Korea after the credentials ceremony the Belarusian head of state said that it would be good if the Republic of Korea were represented in Belarus on a wider scale.

Ambassador Tae Jun You stressed that he will do his best to realize the potential of cooperation in all areas.
