Ambassador: Ecuador will promote Belarus as an important partner

MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – Ecuador will promote Belarus in its region as a reliable and important partner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila told BelTA on 3 December.

Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila emphasized the importance of the cooperation between Belarus and Ecuador. The diplomat believes that the transfer of Belarusian technologies and knowledge to Ecuador is the main cooperation avenue. “Belarus is a country with a strong human capacity. Many innovations are developed and implemented here. We are interested in your experience, and we are ready to adopt your best practices,” Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila noted.

The document was inked by BelTA Director General Dmitry Zhuk and Ambassador Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila. Ecuadorian Minister Coordinator of Knowledge and Talent Management Andres Arauz was also present during the ceremony that was held at BelTA’s press center.

He noted that mass media play an immense role in the modern world. “The media of some countries disseminate false information that does harm to country's image, which is unacceptable,” the Ambassador stressed.

A year has almost passed since Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila took office as the Ambassador to Belarus. “The information sharing agreement has marked the completion of our work on the legal framework for Belarus-Ecuador cooperation. The framework will enable us to sign contracts and implement joint projects,” the Ambassador noted. He added that a number of important agreements and memoranda were signed with the Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of Belarus, Belarusian State Technical University, and Belarus’ healthcare institutions.
