Ambassador: Belarus-Italy dialogue is based on mutual trust

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – The dialogue between Belarus and Italy is based on mutual trust, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Belarus Stefano Bianchi said at a press conference on the Year of Italian Culture in Belarus on 23 January, BelTA has learned.

The diplomat believes that cooperation in culture brings the people of Belarus and Italy closer together. “Cultural ties are necessary for a better acquaintance with Italy. They enable Italians and Belarusians to build interpersonal relations, strengthen the political and economic interaction, and boost the cooperation between regions. The Italian Embassy in Minsk creates opportunities for a cultural dialogue and supports projects aimed at mutual enrichment of the cultures of Belarus and Italy,” Stefano Bianchi said.

He pointed out that the number of cultural projects conducted by the Italian Embassy in Belarus is growing year on year.
