Ambassador: Army exercises should be treated reasonably

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – An army exercise should be treated reasonably and without making up nonsense, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov.

The Belarus-Russia strategic army exercise Zapad 2017 made some unsound fuss. The ambassador stressed that army exercises take place in different countries and no army can manage without them. "This is a usual training session which is no different from an athletic one. Do not make up nonsense," Alexander Surikov said.

Zapad is a scheduled army exercise, which is held in Belarus and Russia in turns.
