Zaslavl to turn into music city on 23 January

MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – The 15th Music Festival Zaslavl 2015 will take place in Zaslavl on 23 January, BelTA learnt from the main department for ideology, culture and youth affairs at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

As tradition demands, the event will open with an oblast competition among singers of the Minsk Oblast Art School “Zaslavl Notebook”. It will be followed by a concert of band instrument players of the National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus. The concert will feature ensembles of trumpeters, flute and clarinet players.

The program will also include Yekaterina and Darya Sumarova’s art exhibition Native Land at the children’s art school and a concert “Memorable Events of the Belarusian Music World”.

The festival will wrap up with a gala concert “Music Meetings in Zaslavl District” featuring the National Academic Concert Orchestra headed by Mikhail Finberg at the Svitanok Cultural Center.

Among the organizers of the festival is the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Minsk District Executive Committee and the National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus.
