Yelena Ovsiyuk from Mozyr among Commonwealth of Debuts award winners

Yelena Ovsiyuk from Mozyr among Commonwealth of Debuts award winnersMOSCOW, 21 December (BelTA) - Yelena Ovsiyuk, Associate Professor of General Physics of Mozyr State Pedagogical University, has been named winner of the International Youth Award “The Commonwealth of Debuts”. The awards ceremony was held in the Azerbaijani city Ganja, the CIS Capital of Culture in 2017, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation.

The Commonwealth of Debuts award was instituted by the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Council and the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation in 2008. It is awarded annually to young professionals (under 35 years old) in the humanitarian fields. Over the years the prize has been awarded to poets, doctors, teachers, scientists, athletes and coaches, and many others. This time the award was presented to young teachers and educators.

Other awardees include Maya Dzhafargulieva, a lecturer at Baku Slavic University (Azerbaijan); Marina Grigoryan, Associate Professor at the Advanced Math Chair, University of Architecture and Construction (Armenia); Tahir Gatauov, a post-graduate student, Academy of Choreography (Kazakhstan); Zhypar Sultanov, Associate Professor of the International Journalism Chair, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (Kyrgyzstan), Evgeny Golomoz, primary school teacher, Onesiphorus Gibu Lyceum(Moldova); Tatiana Kokuitseva, Deputy Director of the Space Technology Institute, Russian University of Peoples' Friendship (Russia); Makhmadsalim Abdukarimov, the head of the science and innovation department of the branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Dushanbe (Tajikistan); Sergei Aronbayev, Acting Associate Professor of the Organic and Inorganic Chemistry Chair, Samarkand State University (Uzbekistan).
