MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – World Boxing has lifted all restrictions on Belarusian athletes, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.
The statement from World Boxing aligns with the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) issued on 7 May 2026. As noted by World Boxing Secretary General Tom Dielen, the Executive Board of the international boxing federation has unanimously decided to lift the requirement for Belarusians to compete as neutral athletes. Consequently, representatives of the Belarusian Boxing Federation may now participate in future World Boxing events under their national symbols.
Earlier on 12 May, the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) announced the full reinstatement of the rights of athletes from Belarus.
