Winners of Belarus-Russia festival of regional TV companies honored in Minsk

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – The winners of the second edition of the Belarus-Russia festival of regional TV companies The Image of Time were honored in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.

The festival featured the creative meetings, roundtable discussions, master classes with famous foreign media figures, and sightseeing tours around Minsk. The competition of regional TV projects The Image of Time was attended by 18 TV companies of Belarus and Russia which presented 46 works. The jury of experts evaluated the projects of the regional TV companies in various genres and thematic scope.

The professional jury awarded the first prize to Lida TV and Radio Association (Belarus). The second prize went to Oblastnoye TV (Yekaterinburg, Russia). Gomel TV and Radio Company (Belarus) placed third.

The editorial of the regional television broadcasting Shklov TV Company (Belarus), Bryanskaya Guberniya TV and radio company (Bryansk, Russia), Mogilev TV company (Belarus) and Kaskad Media Group (Kaliningrad, Russia) were awarded with special diplomas.

Taking part in the event were the regional television companies from Belarus and Russia: Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, Television Broadcasting Network (channel MKTV, Molodechno), Pinsk TV and radio company, Shklov TV Company, Bryanskaya Guberniya, Oblastnoye Televideniye, Kaskad Media Group and others.

The festival is aimed at strengthening the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the information space of the Union State, attracting the attention of the regional TV companies of Belarus and Russia to the economic, social and humanitarian cooperation of the states, expanding professional creative contacts, supporting initiatives developing the patriotic and moral values and contributing to the enhancement of the educational and cultural function of the regional television.

The festival is organized by the Information Ministry of Belarus in cooperation with the National State TV and Radio Company and the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University.
