War museum more popular than Nesvizh Castle and Brest Fortress in Belarus in 2015

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War was the most popular museum in Belarus in 2015, reads the Belarus in Figures review published on the website of the National Statistics Committee, BelTA has learned.

Last year, the museum broke the mark of 552,000 visits. The Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex reported 416,200 visits, and the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve Nesvizh had 407,900 visits. They placed second and third in the ranking respectively. All in all there, were 6.3 million visits to museum in Belarus last year.

In Belarus there are 157 museums with nearly 3.3 million items.
