Visa-free trips to Belovezhskaya Pushcha as from 12 June

MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – The visa-free entry to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha will take effect on 12 June, Director of the Department of Tourism of the Sport and Tourism Ministry Vadim Karmazin told BelTA.

“Visa-free access to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha for foreign citizens will be available via the Belarusian border checkpoint Pererov-Belovezha from 12 June 2015,” Vadim Karmazin said.

In accordance with President’s decree No. 115, foreigners will be allowed to enter Belarus visa free for a period of up to 3 days using a special pass confirmed by the Council of Ministers. “Together with our counterparts from the Presidential Property Management Department, the State Border Committee, and the Interior Ministry we did our best to work out a simplified mechanism for visiting the national park,” Vadim Karmazin said.

A pass for a visa-free visit will be issued at the border provided a tourist presents the documents that confirm the payment for tourism services in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.
