Virtual guide for Belarusian exposition at WorldSkills 2015 in Brazil

MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian exposition during the 43rd WorldSkills Competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil attracts crowds, BelTA has learned.

Visitors are attracted by the virtual guide named Daniella. She speaks Portuguese to inform the visitors about education programs and opportunities in Belarus, prices for education services for foreigners, the recognition of Belarusian diplomas and so on. The exposition also features posters and special leaflets in English and Portuguese.

The organizers of the Belarusian exposition mentioned strong interest in the exposition. A lot of participants and guests of the competition approached the Belarusian exposition and asked many questions. “Many just wanted to say hello while others said ‘Dobry dzen’,” the organizers told BelTA. The exposition also appealed to experts, professors, and businessmen.

The exposition has been organized by the National Institute of Professional Education. The Belarusian booth features education programs designed to train highly qualified blue-collar workers and specialists. Information about innovative technologies used in Belarusian education institutions is available. One of the purposes of the exposition is to find new partners and, naturally, increase the export of education services. Contacts have already been established with representatives of the Dominican Republic, Zambia, Italy, and other countries.

BelTA reported earlier that Belarusian Education Minister Mikhail Zhuravkov will visit the WorldSkills competition during his trip to Brazil on 12-14 August. The Belarusian official is expected to meet with Simon Bartley, President of the international organization Worldskills International. The Belarusian Education Minister is expected to take part in the international conference that will focus on 21st century initiatives meant to foster professional training and education.
