MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Two Belarusians have reached the quarterfinal of the Shenzhen Open in China, BelTA has learned.

World No.293 Vera Lapko saw off Nina Stojanovic of Serbia (World No.130) in two sets 6-3, 6-2. Fellow Belarusian Arina Sobolenko (142) defeated Chang Kai-chen of China (118) 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

In the men’s singles event Belarus’ world number 163 Vladimir Ignatik lost to Maximilian Marterer of Germany (152) 6-4, 4-6, 6-7 (6-8) in the second round.
