Universities of Belarus, China sign agreement on cooperation

MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Economic University and the Zhejiang Shuren University of China have signed an agreement of cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian university.

The document was signed during a video conference between the rectors of the two universities. The heads of the universities emphasized the readiness to strengthen bilateral relations. “The rector of Zhejiang Shuren University expressed gratitude to Belarus for support during the unfavorable epidemiological situation and stressed the importance of expanding business contacts with such reliable partners as the Belarusian State Economic University. In turn, Rector of the Belarusian State Economic University Vyacheslav Shutilin said that good relations between Belarusian and Chinese educational institutions had already become a well-established tradition,” the press service said.

Every year, students of the Belarusian State Economic University go to study in China under the agreement between the Education Ministries of Belarus and China. Graduates of the Belarusian State Economic University are sent to study for a master's degree at the Chinese partners of the university under the Chinese government scholarship program. After the signing ceremony, the parties agreed to exchange visits between representatives of the two universities.
