MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has lifted all restrictions on Belarusian athletes, BelTA learned from the UCI’s press service.
Beginning on 1 July 2026, Belarusian cyclists will be able to compete in tournaments held under the auspices of the UCI under the national flag and anthem in both individual and team events. Since 2023, Belarusian athletes had participated in UCI competitions under a neutral status.
As BelTA reported earlier, international federations for gymnastics, modern pentathlon, boxing, volleyball, wrestling, equestrian sport, karate, dancesport, billiards, water skiing, fencing, Thai boxing and archery also announced the removal of all restrictions on Belarusian athletes.
