Tokyo 2020: Belarusian wrestler Kadzimahamedau reaches final

TOKYO, 5 August (BelTA) - Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau of Belarus beat Frank Chamizo of Italy to move to the Men’s Freestyle Wrestling 74kg final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, BelTA has learned.

The ex-Cuban got off to a strong start and scored a point. The Belarusian responded with a two-point takedown.

In the second period, the Belarusian increased his advantage. The Italians protested, but it only made things worse for their athlete – 5-3. In the end, the athletes exchanged attacks, but Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau led the bout to victory.
