Ticket sale target for Slavianski Bazaar almost reached

Ticket sale target for Slavianski Bazaar almost reached

MINSK, 4 July (BelTA) – We have achieved our ticket sale target almost 100%, Director of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk Gleb Lapitsky told the media, BelTA has learned.

“Our box office plan has been implemented almost in full. We have launched an active advertising campaign, direct online sales to EU countriesnd all kinds of marketing events and discount promotions,” Gleb Lapitsky noted.

Geography of ticket sales is broad: Switzerland, Israel, Guinea, the United States and other countries. This year the festival expects a lot of guests from Russia and Latvia. This is thanks to the visa free entry opportunity for ticket holders and direct online sales.

Most popular are the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival and also the Golden Hit concert program. “Its sales figures are really going through the roof. There is also the Europa Plus TV project. It was on hiatus for several years but we revived it as we saw the demand among younger audiences. The line-up is pretty solid. Some singers are preparing special programs for the festival. It will be beautiful,” Gleb Lapitsky added.

Some projects are aimed at fulfilling the important mission, namely to develop the cultural festival as a platform for different genres of art. “It would easy to invite two or three popular artists, make money on them and do nothing else. But we are not going down that road. We are implementing non-commercial projects such as The Overture to the Festival, The Ice Show. Our goal is to make them self-sufficient,” he said.

In 2019, the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will be held on 8-17 July. An opening ceremony and a gala concert will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 11 July, and a closing ceremony on 15 July. Additional events are scheduled for 8-10 and 16-17 July.
