Thirteen more countries to present cultural traditions in Minsk this summer

MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Thirteen more countries will present their culture during the national culture festivals in the Upper Town in Minsk by the end of the 2018 summer tourist season, Minsk officials told BelTA.

Minskers will be able to learn more about Estonia on 21 July and Greece on 28 July. The summer month will feature festivals of Lithuanian and Poland on 4 and 5 August, Turkey on 11 August, Ukraine on 18 August, Korea on 19 August and Armenia on 25 August.

A festival of Georgian culture Tbilisoba is scheduled for 1 September. Italy will show off its traditions on 9 September, Moldova on 15 September. The Jewish festival is slated for 16 September. Azerbaijan will wrap up the program of national culture festivals in the Minsk Upper Town on 22 September.

The summer music tourist season in the Upper Town is one of the most prominent events in the cultural life of the Belarusian capital. Festivals of ethnic cultures present the traditions of different peoples. More than 30 such events have been held since 2015.
