MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) – Theatrical experiments and discoveries will make part of the program of the 5th international forum TEART which is due in Minsk from 29 September-23 October, BelTA learnt from the organizers of the forum.

On 10-11 October the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater will present one of the most unusual plays of the forum, MATHATRIA. “It is a Japanese high-tech show called an installation by its authors. The show will include dances, 3D graphics, audio collages and truly Japanese ceremonies,” the organizers said.

A jazz play Old Man Monk based on the biography of outstanding jazz musician Thelonious Monk will tell the audience a story about ageing and the impossibility for the body and the soul to exist in harmony. The musical will be on at the Palace of Culture of the Trade Unions on 6-7 October.

Ukraine will present its musical performance at the forum for the first time. “Dakh Daughters Band is seven actresses of the Kiev Theater DAKH that create a performance about love, freedom and beauty with the help of musical instruments, Slavonic tunes, Shakespeare, French poetry and world-known hits,” said the organizers. The performance will be on at the MAZ Palace of Culture on 22 October.

The TEART international program will be wrapped up with Levan Tsuladze’s play How Would You Like It played by the Marjanishvili State Academic Drama Theatre of Tbilisi at the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater on 23 October.
